Go Beyond the What Ifs
Amanda Babcock, of Femme Empowered located in North Texas, is a Certified Life Coach, Rapid Release Technique, and Theta Healing Practitioner. She offers one on one healing and life coaching sessions virtually to women seeking to reclaim their power and overcome trauma from abuse and navigate major life transitions such as divorce and loss of career.
Amanda has overcome many obstacles in her journey including being a survivor of domestic violence, sexual assault, and childhood abuse. She is very passionate about helping women and in addition to one-on-one sessions with survivors, she also is a volunteer with the Survivor Advocacy Team at a local women’s shelter.
At Femme Empowered, Amanda’s goal is to bring to light many of the issues preventing women to get proper assistance regarding abusive relationships, such as lack of funding to programs, lack of awareness, and not knowing where to begin or in many cases even recognizing this is abuse as a large number of survivors have grown up in similar environments and therefor miss red flags or awareness that this is not normal or okay.
Amanda hopes to bring light to abusive situations so that women can first realize it is abuse, then that they are worthy of more. It takes a lot to get to that point where you see your worth and begin to believe in yourself enough to start taking back your life and getting help.
Amanda has a butterfly tattoo with an infinity sign that marks her first experience with this courageous act of self-love. Going against her ex-husband's demands of not getting a tattoo, she felt for the first time a swelling inside her that said this is the changing point. Here marks the first step towards reclaiming your power, and with a racing heart, she got the tattoo when he was out of town. It continues to be the reminder of her strength today, and the mark of the first day of her new journey. Amanda aims to be that pivot point for any woman seeking to leave or heal and not knowing how to start.
If you find yourself in a place where you feel stuck or are not even sure what’s wrong with a relationship but just know there is, a session with Amanda is a great first step to make. She has a survivor story, but she has refused to let that harden her. She is soft and gentle but knowledgeable and experienced. She allows her clients the safety to let down their guards and feels supported and seen.
If Amanda could tell women of abuse just one thing, she would say “You don’t have to experience this. This is not your fault. You don’t have to tolerate it. And you are worthy of so much more.”
If you or someone you know needs someone to talk things out, begin making those pivotal first steps, require a fresh perspective, or are ready to begin to heal from any variation of trauma reach out to Amanda to schedule an appointment. Transformation can be easier than you think. It’s time to become the butterfly in your own story.
